Batch Cooking for Busy Weeks

Batch Cooking for Busy Weeks

Spend a couple of hours on Sunday and eat well all week. Batch cooking saves money, reduces waste and means you always have something ready when you are too tired to cook.

Pick recipes that freeze well

Chilli, curry, soup and bolognese all freeze brilliantly. Make a big pot, portion it into containers and label them with the date. You will thank yourself on a Wednesday evening.

Your shopping list

Buy in bulk: onions, garlic, tinned tomatoes, chickpeas, rice and whatever protein is on offer. A weekly shop of around £15–20 is realistic if you plan ahead.
