Setting Personal Boundaries
Setting Personal Boundaries
Saying no is not selfish — it is essential. Learning to set boundaries protects your time, your energy and your wellbeing.
Know your limits
Pay attention to when you feel drained or resentful. Those feelings are signals that a boundary has been crossed. It might be about your time, your space, your workload or your social commitments.
Communicate clearly
You do not need to justify yourself at length. A simple, calm explanation is enough: “I need tonight to catch up on work” or “I am not up for going out this weekend.” Most people will respect your honesty.
